Professor Seok-Hoon Yang of the Department of Cardiology at Seoul National University Hospital was recently selected as the recipient of the '17th LG Chem Future Medicine Award'.
The 'LG Chem Future Medicine Award' is presented to clinical instructors with outstanding research capabilities and is organized by the medical journal Cheongnyeon Uisa and sponsored by LG Chem. Award recipients are selected based on their achievements in SCI-level journals as the first author.
Professor Yang, who was honored with the award, has led large-scale multinational studies in the field of cardiovascular interventional procedures, focusing on coronary artery disease. Through this, he has published more than 25 papers in leading international journals.
In particular, Professor Yang designed a study combining imaging diagnostics and hemodynamic testing to more accurately predict the risk of coronary artery disease. This has improved the accuracy of patient prognosis prediction and contributed to the development of cardiovascular disease treatment guidelines, earning him high praise.
